Iván Caño Prades

Ivan Caño has studied two BSc degrees in Physics and Chemistry at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain) and a MSc degree in Engineering Physics at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain). He is currently performing his PhD in Electronic Engineering at UPC, under the direction of Prof. Edgardo Saucedo and Prof. Marcel Placidi.

In 2019 he was awarded with an Introduction to research scholarship for students with a high level of academic performance by CSIC (JAE Intro 2019) to work at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) under the supervision of Dr. Mariona Coll, collaborating in a research project to study and implement novel low-cost chemical methods for all-oxide photovoltaics. He has been awarded with the second prize at the 2019 SCN2 Dressenhaus Prize (Catalan Society of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology).

He has attended and participated in several national conferences and workshops, including the 4th Scientific Meeting of BNC-b Students (JPHD2019) organized by ICMAB-CSIC and ICN2-CSIC, and the 2nd Workshop on Spectroscopy Techniques: Generalities and Applications (WST2019) by ICMAB-CSIC.
