Our researcher Edoardo Maggi has participated in the nineteenth International Conference on Thin Films (ICTF-2023), organized by the Spanish Vacuum Society (ASEVA) in Burgos (Spain) September 26-29th, 2023.
Edoardo Maggi presented a comprehensive exploration of the transformative capabilities inherent in quasi-1D van der Waals materials, specifically focusing on SbSeI and BiSeI, within the context of cutting-edge photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic applications. Leveraging innovative synthesis techniques, the research group successfully engineered finely adjustable, high-quality single-phase materials featuring distinctive nano/micro-ribbon architectures. The study unveiled promising photoanode activity for SbSeI and exhibited compelling photocatalytic performance for BiSeI, signifying a significant advancement with considerable implications for energy transition technologies.
