Prof. Edgardo Saucedo coordinator of SENSATE has received the ASEVA-TOYOTA Award for his contribution to the development of emerging photovoltaic materials.

The “Asociación Española de Vacío y sus Aplicaciones – ASEVA” has distinguished Prof. Edgardo Saucedo with the 1st ASEVA-TOYOTA Award for his contribution to the development of emerging thin film photovoltaic materials using vacuum based techniques (Awards – ASEVA). The Jury highlight the scientific work of Prof. Saucedo that has contributed to the development of new chalcogenide materials for photovoltaic applications, using exclusively materials that are considered abundant and eco-friendly, and for his recently granted ERC-CoG SENSATE for the development of low dimensional materials for solar harvesting. The award will be received in a special ceremony at the CSIC headquarters in Madrid, in a date to be confirmed.
